MURFREESBORO – Four individuals are suspected of working in a team Tuesday to steal from the Victoria's Secret location in The Avenue in Murfreesboro, according to police.
A pair of women left the store after a manager thought they looked suspicious and approached them, in accordance with a report from the Murfreesboro Police Department. A while later, a woman and a person visited the store and acted strangely.
When the manager approached the next duo, the woman exited one door and the man fled through a split door, according to the report. The woman was located at Belk nearby, but no stolen property was discovered on her person.
The manager told police $725 of panties were missing after these incidents, based on the report. No arrests were made at the time of the report being filed.
This is the second time employees of the Victoria's Secret location have reported panties stolen this month. Ninety pairs of Dream Angels panties valued at a total of $1, 125 were stolen Aug. 6, according to another report from the MPD.
The panties were taken by three different women who took turns going into the store and stealing the garments throughout a three-hour period, according to the report.
