Mich archaeologists say shipwreck found in Bay Michigan not long-lost Griffin

FRANKFORT, Mich. – Michigan state archaeology say a shipwreck found in Bay Michigan isn't the griffin iphone cases, the first known wreck in the Great Ponds.

The Muskegon Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1QQIVju ) reports two men came in front late last year with photos of an shipwreck found off of Frankfort, and it's also about 40 miles west associated with Traverse City. Two archaeologists looked at finally the wreck Tuesday in a dive and also Michigan State Police officers. State Early Preservation Office spokeswoman Laura Ashlee says divers found an 80-foot wooden hull, which she says large long to have been the Griffin.
